Welcome to Sjøtunet!
COVID -19: We do what we can to make it safe for you to stay with us. Antibac dispensers are placed in all the cabins together with information signs and we guarantee
thorough cleaning between our guests. We encourage good hand- and cough hygiene, keep the correct distance (1 meter) and if you have any symptoms, we kindly ask you to stay at home.
When you arrive at Sjøtunet, an old trading post (1850 -1924), you will find yourself invited into the life of a cosy west-norwegian farm, with many different activities. Your hosts – three generations of them – will welcome you and make you feel at home. Our dog, Vilma, and the cat are part of our extended family as well.
Life on the farm is shaped around seasonal activities. The spring brings lambing and animals grazing, the summer features fishing, bathing, boating and haymaking. Then it’s the turn of harvesting raspberries and plums before the sheep need to be brought down off the mountains. In the winter there is easy access to skiing – both cross-country and alpine. The fish are biting all year round.
This is the life you can be a part of when you stay at Sjøtunet - if you want).
Best regards your hosts
Torunn & Alf
